The Environmental Committee serves as a vital hub for technical expertise and timely updates tailored to industrial environmental professionals. Its primary focus includes regulatory compliance, enforcement trends, emerging rules and regulations, and the sharing of industry best practices.

The group maintains strong, collaborative relationships with ADEM and other governmental regulatory agencies, ensuring members stay informed and engaged with key developments. Meetings are held quarterly, offering in-depth reports on critical areas such as air, land, water, and energy.

Environmental Resource Group

The Government Affairs Committee reviews all legislation and closely monitors legislative activity at the State House. Members serve as an advisory network on a wide range of legislative concerns, including bills, regulations, and executive matters.

Each member plays a key role in supporting the association's lobbying strategy, providing insights and expertise to shape advocacy efforts. The group meets weekly during legislative sessions and convenes on an ad-hoc basis as needed throughout the year.

Governmental Affairs Resource Group

This resource group addresses the complex legal and policy-related aspects of human resources unique to the manufacturing industry. It also focuses on workforce development challenges that affect all sectors of industry and manufacturing.

A key feature of the group is the sharing of best practices in compliance, policy issues, training, and recruitment efforts. The group meets biannually to foster collaboration and provide actionable insights.

Human Resources & Workforce Development Resource Group

The Resource Group provides updates on safety and security enforcement trends, reviews upcoming rule changes and promulgations, and facilitates discussions on compliance best practices. It actively engages with state and federal agency staff to ensure members are well-informed.

Additionally, the group administers the Governor-awarded Safety Achievement Program through Manufacture Alabama, recognizing excellence in safety practices. Meetings are held quarterly and, when appropriate, the group hosts training programs to benefit members and enhance their expertise.

The Communications Committee is designed for marketing, external affairs, and communications professionals in the manufacturing sector. Whether you’re a seasoned expert or new to the field, this group provides a collaborative space for exchanging ideas and learning from one another.
